PlayStation's Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino Jointly Succeed Jim Ryan

 


Announcement by Sony Interactive Entertainment that Herman Hulst and Hideaki Nishino will both succeed Jim Ryan as CEO's. The new management structure for SIE will be effective as of June 1st 2024. Interm CEO of the studio Hiroki Totoki sent a message to all employees dated May 13th 2024.

A Message from Hiroki Totoki – A New Era at Sony Interactive Entertainment

"Effective June 1, Hideaki Nishino will be appointed CEO of SIE’s Platform Business Group, and Hermen Hulst will be appointed CEO of SIE’s Studio Business Group. Effective the same date, I will step down from my current role as interim CEO and become Chairman of SIE, in addition to my roles at SGC. Both Hermen and Nishino-san will report to me as SIE Chairman".

Herman Hulst also posted on his X page today about the announcement saying:

"It’s a true privilege to be asked to lead the new Studio Business Group for Sony Interactive. I’m excited to continue working with incredibly talented teams and studios to deliver unforgettable game and entertainment experiences".
